ALPHARETTA, Ga. (April 5, 2010) – LeasePlan USA, a leader in vehicle leasing and fleet management solutions with strong ties to the Atlanta community, sponsored the second annual Atlanta Children’s Shelter’s (ACS) “Strides of March” 5K Run/Walk Event.  

The event, which was held on March 27, 2010, benefits the ACS and its efforts to break the cycle of homelessness. The funds raised will help the ACS provide free day care, food, clothing and support services to parents and their small children who are homeless.

In addition to being a silver-level sponsor, LeasePlan employees and their family members formed a team to walk or run in the event. Team LeasePlan won third place in the overall team awards. Other employees volunteered during the event by assisting with registration and distributing T-shirts. 

“After sponsoring this fun and beneficial event last year, we were excited to participate again,” said Mike Pitcher, president and CEO for LeasePlan USA. “I couldn’t be happier about the amount of time and resources our employees have put into supporting this deserving organization and the children and families it benefits.
